Breath of Life
It's a windy day here in East Ventura. I am sitting down in my cozy reading corner with some yummy Aveda Tea getting set to do some Bible reading. I have challenged myself to read one book of the Bible per day until all are read. I did really well in the New Testament. I read all the books under the twenty seven allotted days.... Then came Genesis. Genesis is a really big book. It has 50 chapters in it. LONG. So my reading plan stalled for a few days but now I am back at it.
I started this challenge while I was bed ridden- Literally there were three solid weeks where I was not even able to get out of bed much less out of the house. I had some time to really think about my condition (physical and emotional), and figure out what I believe and why. I came to the conclusion that I don't know much but I wanted to know more- especially when it comes the the Book of Life. So today I will charge through Genesis and onward towards the rest of the OT. I have found that the Bible is so full of LOVE.
So heres to love!!!

posted sign: "work in progress"
Since I have had more energy and have not been back to work, I have been taking my dog Sally out on long walks in my neighborhood. Now both Sally and I are in need of dropping a few pounds so this walking thing is great! I LOVE my 6pm walks with her. We walk all the way down the river bed to a small park with a playground. Once we get there, Sally takes a break while I do a short but awesome workout on the playground. I use the benches for arm dips (with one leg up), lunges, planks on the grass, squats- all simple everyday workout moves. Then Sally and I make our way back home. It takes us about one full hour to walk three miles and do a short park workout. We love it- but I kid you not- almost EVERYTIME we are out workin on our fitness, someone comments on how my beloved Sally dog is "chubby", "a bit thick", "in need of more walks". Now to this I say, "Yes well we both are currently working on it-Thank you!" I feel like I should make a sign and stick it on Sally's backside that says, "WORK IS PROGRESS". Fellow walkers; thanks for saying hello but you can hold on the weight comments!

I have been spending a lot of time at home these days-recovering and gaining strength so I wanted my room to be a happy and peaceful place. This weekend I went out to the local farmer's market and got these flowers. I love them!! I have never seen the green ones before. They are called Bell's of Ireland. Love!
